The Lorain County Ironmen (12-17) used a four-run explosion in the seventh inning to get past the Lake Erie Monarchs (11-18) 10-2 on Thursday at The Pipe Yard.

John Rensel racked up two RBIs on one hit for the Lorain County Ironmen. He tripled in the eighth inning.

Logan Heffernan's seven strikeouts were enough to push the Lorain County Ironmen past the Lake Erie Monarchs. Heffernan allowed no earned runs on four hits and one walk over seven innings.

Evan Marquardt (3-1) took the loss for the Lake Erie Monarchs. He lasted just four innings, walked four, struck out six, and allowed four runs.
