The Klamath Falls Gems (16-26) and the South Bay Storm (23-20) both had scoring chances on Saturday, but it was the Klamath Falls Gems that were able to capitalize on them as they pulled out a 9-4 win at Kiger Stadium.

Nick Hermes went a perfect 3-3 at the plate for the Klamath Falls Gems. He doubled in the third inning and singled in the fifth and sixth innings.

Zane Gelphman was hot from the plate for the South Bay Storm. Gelphman went 3-4 and scored two runs. He doubled in the first inning and singled in the third and fifth innings.

Bryan Hathaway improved to 2-2 on the year by picking up the win for the Klamath Falls Gems. He allowed four runs over six innings. He struck out three, walked three and surrendered nine hits.

Michael Valdes (1-3) took the loss for the South Bay Storm. He allowed six runs in three innings, walked four and struck out one.
