Garrett Westberg hopes every outing could go as well as Saturday, as Westberg tossed a no-hitter to carry the Tacoma (24-9) to a 9-0 victory over the Green River at Minnitti Field in seven innings.
Everything was working at the plate for the the Tacoma in the third. In the inning the Tacoma scored six runs. The Tacoma scored in the third on , an RBI single by Lucas Eliason, a two-run single by Gabe Padukiewicz, a double by Clay Reece, and a single by Reed Johnson.
Reece racked up three RBIs on two hits for the Tacoma.
Westberg got the win, running his season record to 5-1. He struck out 10, walked none and surrendered no hits.
Alex Marcussen ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his second loss of the year. He lasted just two innings, walked three, struck out one, and allowed two runs.
