Austin Hines went 1-4 and hit a home run, sparking the Centralia (4-10) to an 8-6 victory over the Green River (1-13) on Saturday at RAC (Lacey).
He homered in the sixth inning.Thomas Richards did his best to jumpstart the offense for the Green River, reaching base three times. He scored one run and had one RBI. He singled in the eighth and ninth innings.
Takashi Fujiwara pitched lights out for the Green River. The Centralia managed just three hits off of the the Green River's pitcher, who allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out three during his 3 1/3 innings of work.
Dane Klenk improved to 2-1 on the year by picking up the win for the Centralia. He allowed three runs over 7 2/3 innings. He struck out two, walked four and surrendered five hits.
Matt DeWald couldn't get it done on the mound for the Green River, taking a loss. He lasted just one-third of an inning, walked one, struck out none, and allowed one run.
