The Spokane (25-17) shut the door early on the Treasure Valley (31-18), capturing a 10-3 victory on Saturday at Spokane Falls Community College.
The game was decided quickly as the Spokane exerted their will early with seven runs in the first three innings.
An RBI single by Evan Douglas, a two-run double by Ryan Murkle, and an RBI single by Garrett Schmerer during the first inning helped the Spokane put some runs on the board early.Murkle racked up five RBIs on two hits for the Spokane.
Cole Jones racked up two RBIs on two hits for the Treasure Valley. He doubled in the fourth innings and singled in the seventh inning.
Alex Rees recorded his first win of the year for the Spokane. He struck out one, walked three and surrendered one hit.
Kaleb Jones was charged with his third loss of the year. He allowed seven runs in 2 2/3 innings, walked one and struck out two.
