Joe Done was strong at the plate and on the hill in carrying the Skagit Valley (17-11) to a 7-5 victory over the Shoreline on Sunday at Meridian.
Done racked up three RBIs on three hits for the Skagit Valley. He singled in the first and third innings and homered in the eighth inning.
Done pitched lights out for the Skagit Valley. The Shoreline (9-21) managed just one hit off of the the Skagit Valley's pitcher, who allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out none during his one inning of work.
Zach Zurbrugg racked up two RBIs on three hits for the Shoreline. He doubled in the third inning and singled in the first and fifth innings.
Doug Knight recorded his second win of the year for the Skagit Valley. He allowed one run over four innings. He struck out three, walked none and surrendered five hits.
Connor Anderson (2-4) took the loss for the Shoreline. He allowed seven runs in seven innings, walked two and struck out five.
