The Douglas (4-9) jumped out to an early lead, but were unable to hold on and lost 5-3 to the Bellevue (19-5) on Saturday.

The Bellevue took the lead in the seventh inning on a groundout by Jordan LaFave.

Joe Wainhouse racked up three RBIs on two hits for the Bellevue. He tripled in the sixth inning and homered in the eighth inning.

Josh Thompson pitched lights out for the Bellevue. The Douglas managed just one hit off of Thompson, who allowed no earned runs, walked one and struck out three during his four innings of work.

Liam Kano-McGregor ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his second loss of the year. He lasted just two innings, walked none, struck out none, and allowed two runs.
