A walk-off single from Rayven Kahana brought home the winning run for the Pierce (11-7) in a 4-3 victory over the Lower Columbia (12-7) at Mt Tahoma High School on Saturday.
Kahana paced the Pierce at the plate. Kahana went 2-5, drove in one and scored one run. He singled in the sixth and ninth innings.
Matt Thompson led the Pierce's offensive threat, as he got on base four times in the game. He singled in the first and fourth innings and doubled in the sixth inning.
Tyson Cronin pitched lights out for the Pierce. Cronin held the Lower Columbia hitless over 1 2/3 innings, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out one.
Taylor Davis (1-2) took the loss for the Lower Columbia. He lasted just one inning, walked one, struck out none, and allowed one run.
