Early lead gives the Yakima Valley easy victory over the Wenatchee Valley, 17-4

The Yakima Valley (17-8) refused to relinquish the lead after grabbing it early against the Wenatchee Valley (3-16), recording a 17-4 victory on Saturday at Parker Field .

The game was decided quickly as the Yakima Valley exerted their will early with eight runs in the first three innings.

A passed ball, an RBI single by Colin Cinkovich, a two-run single by Parker Depasquale, a three-run double by Tanner Parker, and a single by Kasey Bailey during the first inning fueled the Yakima Valley's offense early.

Alec Chaney racked up three RBIs on three hits for the Yakima Valley.

Riley Benedetti recorded his fourth win of the year for the Yakima Valley. He allowed four runs over four innings. He struck out two, walked one and surrendered nine hits.

Kitts ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with the loss. He allowed eight runs in three innings, walked two and struck out one.
