Both the Spokane (21-15) and the Big Bend (22-12) put runners aboard on Wednesday, but it was the Spokane that were able to take advantage, pulling out an 8-7 win at Spokane Falls Community College.
Evan Douglas racked up two RBIs on three hits for the Spokane. He singled in the fourth, sixth, and eighth innings.
Ben Castro kept contact to a minimum, striking out four the Big Bend batters. The Spokane's pitcher tossed 4 2/3 innings of shutout ball and allowed only four hits.
Justin Dehoog racked up three RBIs on two hits for the Big Bend. He homered in the fourth inning and singled in the fifth inning.
Sam Krapf (4-2) took the loss for the Big Bend. He lasted just 1 2/3 innings, walked one, struck out one, and allowed three runs.
