The Pierce (2-3) beat the Olympic (3-3) 9-2 on Thursday thanks to a four-run eighth inning.
The Olympic jumped out to an early lead, but they were unable to hang on. The Olympic were ahead until the seventh inning, but the Pierce would not be denied the win, taking the lead back on a home run by Hudson Byorick.
Byorick racked up seven RBIs on two hits for the Pierce. He homered in the seventh inning and doubled in the eighth inning.
Conner Sharp pitched lights out for the Pierce. Sharp held the Olympic hitless over two innings, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out none.
Josh Connolly improved to 1-0 on the year by picking up the win for the Pierce. He struck out none, walked one and surrendered no hits.
Aaron Meyer was charged with his first loss of the year. He lasted just one inning, walked none, struck out two, and allowed four runs.
