A magnificent effort by Maria Roy led the Nova Scotia (2-2) to an 11-7 win in eight innings over the British Columbia (1-3) on Sunday at St-Philippe one.
Roy racked up four RBIs on four hits for the Nova Scotia. He homered in the first inning, tripled in the fourth inning, singled in the fifth inning, and doubled in the seventh inning.
Kensington Renneberg racked up two RBIs on three hits for the British Columbia. He singled in the first and second innings and doubled in the sixth inning.
Roy got his first win for the Nova Scotia despite allowing seven runs over six innings. He struck out six, walked none and surrendered 13 hits.
Allison Schroder ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his second loss of the year. He allowed 11 runs in seven innings, walked five and struck out five.
