David Benson tossed a shutout to lift the Seattle Studs (5-0) to a 7-0 win over the Santa Barbara Foresters (2-2) at Lawrence-Dumont Stadium.

Benson held the Santa Barbara Foresters scoreless during his nine innings of work. He pitched a shutout, allowing no opposing players to cross the plate on five hits while ringing up seven.

Everything was working at the plate for the the Seattle Studs in the second. The Seattle Studs' bats caught fire leading to four runs. The Seattle Studs scored in the second on , a single by Dylan LaVelle, , and a single by Ty Holm.
