Anthony Caenepael did his part on the hill, but it wasn't enough to carry the Wellington Heat (5-2) to a win on Monday, as the Wellington Heat fell to the San Diego Waves (2-1) 5-3 at Lawrence-Dumont Stadium.

The Wellington Heat couldn't get anything going as long as Bob Kraft was pitching. The Wellington Heat managed just three hits off of Kraft, who allowed no earned runs, walked two and struck out three during his four innings of work.

Taylor Bridges (0-1) took the loss for the Wellington Heat. He lasted just 1 1/3 innings, walked two, struck out one, and allowed five runs.
