An excellent effort by Parker Dunshee hoisted the Chatham Anglers (1-1) to a 1-0 win over the Orleans Firebirds (1-1) on Tuesday at Veterans Field.

Dunshee held the Orleans Firebirds scoreless for six innings. Dunshee struck out eight and allowed no walks and two hits.

Despite the loss, the Orleans Firebirds' Eric Lauer dominated the Chatham Anglers' batters, giving up one run and striking out nine.

Lauer was charged with his first loss of the year.
