The Bourne Braves (1-0) beat the Wareham Gatemen (0-1) 7-1 on Monday at Doran Park after a five-run explosion in the second inning.

The Bourne Braves scored in the second on a single by CJ Chatham, a single by Mike Garzillo, an error, an RBI single by Peter Alonso, a two-run single by Alonso, and a single by Reid Humphreys.

Chatham had a hot bat for the Bourne Braves. Chatham went 3-4 and scored two runs.

Cody Sedlock picked up the win for the Bourne Braves. Sedlock allowed one earned run, six hits and two walks while striking out five over seven innings of work.
