An ace performance by Tanner Simpson carried the Columbia Basin (9-2) to an 8-0 win over the SW Oregon (3-9) on Sunday at Columbia Basin Baseball Field.

Simpson racked up 11 strikeouts in the the Columbia Basin win. The Columbia Basin's pitcher gave up just three hits over eight shutout innings.

The Columbia Basin blew out the SW Oregon thanks to six hits, including zero extra base hits. The Columbia Basin scored four runs in the eighth on the Columbia Basin scored in the eighth on a sacrifice fly by Spencer Bennion, a sacrifice fly by Parker Coffey, , a two-run single by Cory Wills, and a single by Colton Kelly.
