The Palm Beach Xtreme (23-14)'s five first-inning runs built an early lead that helped bring home a 6-1 win over the Pompano Beach Clippers (29-5) on Sunday at Miller Park.

The Palm Beach Xtreme scored in the first on an RBI single by Garrett Wells, a hit by pitch, and a three-run double by Nick Oberg.

Damian Boyum got on base two times in the game for the Palm Beach Xtreme. He scored one run and had one RBI. He homered in the fourth inning.

Robert Guarnieri's six strikeouts helped the Palm Beach Xtreme to the victory. Guarnieri allowed no earned runs, three hits and no walks over six innings.

Dominick Stefanacci had an impressive outing against the Palm Beach Xtreme's lineup. The Palm Beach Xtreme managed just one hit off of the the Pompano Beach Clippers' pitcher, who allowed no earned runs, walked four and struck out four during his three innings of work.

Brandon Burgess was charged with his first loss of the year. He allowed six runs in four innings, walked two and struck out two.
