The West Palm Beach Sharks (11-14) beat the Palm Beach Blazers (10-20) 5-4 on Sunday at John I Leonard H.S. behind Nick Gargan, who collected three hits.

He doubled in the first inning and singled in the third and ninth innings.

James Touhey picked up the win for the West Palm Beach Sharks. Touhey allowed no earned runs, 11 hits and two walks while striking out five over nine innings of work.

Despite the loss, the Palm Beach Blazers' Zach Lawrence dominated the West Palm Beach Sharks' batters, giving up one run and striking out five.

Nick Lawrence was charged with his second loss of the year. He lasted just 1 1/3 innings, walked three, struck out one, and allowed two runs.
