A four-run explosion in the first inning hoisted the Lane (1-0) to a 7-1 win over the Linn-Benton (1-2) at Goss Stadium on Tuesday.

David Bellamy racked up four RBIs on two hits for the Lane. He singled in the first and fifth innings.

Landen Bourassa pitched lights out for the Lane. Bourassa held the Linn-Benton hitless over two innings, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out two.

Aaron Hutchinson recorded his first win of the year for the Lane. He struck out none, walked none and surrendered no hits.

Cody Hoff couldn't get it done on the bump for the Linn-Benton, taking a loss. He lasted just one inning, walked four, struck out one, and allowed four runs.
