Gomez racked up two RBIs on two hits for the East Bay Seals. He doubled in the second inning and singled in the fifth inning.
Nabeeh Blackburn improved to 1-0 on the year by picking up the win for the Alameda Merchants. Blackburn struck out none, walked one and gave up no hits.
Casey was charged with the loss. He allowed 12 runs in eight innings, walked six and struck out five.
