Nick Cioffi kept the Saugerties Stallions (14-35) off the board during his six innings of work and the Albany Dutchmen (23-26) beat the Saugerties Stallions, 3-0.
Cioffi allowed two hits, one walk and struck out six.
The Albany Dutchmen came out swinging, scoring three runs in the first inning to jump ahead of the Saugerties Stallions early. The Albany Dutchmen scored in the first on an RBI double by Zach Remillard, an RBI single by Sean Aspinall, and an RBI double by Michael Fitzsimmons.
Remillard did his best to jumpstart the offense for the Albany Dutchmen, reaching base two times. He scored one run and had one RBI.
Phil Zdanowski couldn't get it done on the bump for the Saugerties Stallions, taking a loss. He lasted just five innings, walked one, struck out three, and allowed three runs.
