The Florence Freedom (15-23) and the Windy City ThunderBolts (15-21) both had scoring chances on Sunday, but it was the Florence Freedom that were able to capitalize on them as they pulled out a 6-4 win at Standard Bank Stadium.

The Florence Freedom were led by Sam Eberle's hitting. Eberle went 2-4, drove in one and scored one run. He homered in the fifth inning and singled in the seventh inning.

Jonathan Garcia racked up two RBIs on two hits for the Windy City ThunderBolts. He singled in the third inning and doubled in the sixth inning.

Ed Kohout got the win, running his season record to 2-1. He allowed two runs over two innings. Kohout struck out one, walked one and gave up three hits.

Tommy Nance (0-1) was the game's losing pitcher. He lasted just one inning, walked two, struck out one, and allowed two runs.
