The Orleans Firebirds (10-3) jumped out to an early lead, but were unable to hold on and lost 6-3 to the Bourne Braves (5-7) on Monday.

A two-run triple by Jacob Robson gave the Bourne Braves the lead in the fifth inning.

Robson racked up two RBIs on two hits for the Bourne Braves. He singled in the second inning and tripled in the fifth inning.

Bryan Baker brought the heat against the Orleans Firebirds during his outing. Baker held the Orleans Firebirds hitless over 3 1/3 innings, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out five.

Chandler Blanchard ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his first loss of the year. He lasted just one inning, walked one, struck out none, and allowed three runs.
