An impressive effort by John Schultz hoisted the Evansville Otters (20-11) to a 6-2 win in seven innings over the Traverse City Beach Bums (19-10) on Saturday at Bosse Field.

Schultz rocked the Traverse City Beach Bums with two home runs. Schultz went 2-4 in the game with three RBIs and two runs scored. Schultz homered in the third and sixth innings.

Efrain Nieves picked up the win for the Evansville Otters. Nieves pitched seven innings and allowed two earned runs, five hits and three walks while striking out five.

Brandon Jacobs went a perfect 2-2 at the dish for the Traverse City Beach Bums. He singled in the second and sixth innings.

Ian MacDougall (4-1) was the game's losing pitcher. He lasted just 4 2/3 innings, walked three, struck out three, and allowed five runs.
