The Gateway Grizzlies (7-18) built an early edge on Wednesday, but the Traverse City Beach Bums (14-9) roared back to steal an 8-3 victory at Wuerfel Park.

The Traverse City Beach Bums took the lead in the sixth inning on a solo home run by Brandon Jacobs.

Jacobs did his best to jumpstart the offense for the Traverse City Beach Bums, reaching base three times. He scored one run and had one RBI. He homered in the sixth inning.

The Gateway Grizzlies had no answer for Bret Dahlson, who kept runners off the basepaths in his appearance. Dahlson held the Gateway Grizzlies hitless over three innings, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out none.

Ben Waldrip racked up three RBIs on one hit for the Gateway Grizzlies. He homered in the first inning.

Anthony Montefusco recorded his first win of the year for the Traverse City Beach Bums. He allowed three runs over six innings. Montefusco struck out four, walked none and gave up five hits.

Vincent Molesky was charged with his second loss of the year. He lasted just six innings, walked two, struck out six, and allowed five runs.
