A magnificent effort by Nick Deeg led the Hyannis Harbor Hawks (2-0) to a 5-0 win over the Cotuit Kettleers on Wednesday at Lowell Park.

Deeg kept the Cotuit Kettleers (1-1) off the board during his seven innings of work. Deeg struck out eight and allowed two walks and two hits.

Jake Rogers reached base three times in the game for the Hyannis Harbor Hawks. He scored one run and had one RBI. He homered in the third inning and singled in the fifth inning.

Cal Becker (0-1) was the game's losing pitcher. He lasted just two innings, walked one, struck out one, and allowed three runs.
