The River City Rascals (7-7) beat the Schaumburg Boomers (6-9) 3-2 in seven innings on Sunday at Schaumburg Boomers Stadium behind Taylor Ard, who went 1-2.

The Schaumburg Boomers had no answer for Tommy Organ, who kept runners off the basepaths in his appearance. The Schaumburg Boomers managed just one hit off of Organ, who allowed no earned runs, walked two and struck out three during his 3 1/3 innings of work.

Zeb Sneed got the win, running his season record to 1-0. Sneed struck out two, walked none and gave up no hits.

Brett Mabry couldn't get it done on the bump for the Schaumburg Boomers, taking a loss. He lasted just six innings, walked two, struck out three, and allowed three runs.
