A walk-off blast from Chris Miguel brought home the winning run for the Top Speed Baseball (19-4) in a 12-10 victory over the Auburn Wildcats at Drake High on Tuesday.
The Top Speed Baseball were led by Miguel's hitting. Miguel went 1-3. He singled in the fifth and sixth innings and homered in the ninth inning.
Each team blasted the other's pitching, and there were 22 total runs and 28 hits during the game. Both bullpens were busy with six pitchers used in the game as the skippers of both squads tried to finish it off.
Steven Knudson had two extra-base hits for the Top Speed Baseball. He homered in the seventh inning and doubled in the ninth inning.
Brad Fulton got the win, running his season record to 1-0. Fulton struck out none, walked none and gave up one hit.
Matthew Haskins, Knudson, Mike Lewandowski and Champi Lucca helped lead the Top Speed Baseball. They combined for eight hits and eight RBIs.
Ariel Santiago took the loss for the Auburn Wildcats. He allowed 12 runs in eight innings, walked six and struck out eight.
