The Swift Current Indians (18-29) and the Moose Jaw Miller Express (18-29) each put runners in scoring position on Friday, but the Swift Current Indians capitalized on more RBI opportunities, pulling out a 7-5 win at Ross Wells Park.

Nate Ackerman had a busy day at the plate, collecting two extra-base hits. He homered in the second inning and tripled in the fourth inning.

A bright spot for the Moose Jaw Miller Express in the defeat was Brandon Acosta, who allowed only two runs while striking out nine.

Marvin Malone racked up three RBIs on three hits for the Moose Jaw Miller Express. He homered in the third inning and singled in the first and fifth innings.

Nelson Quark recorded his fourth win of the year for the Swift Current Indians. He allowed two runs over five innings. Quark struck out six, walked two and gave up seven hits.

Grant Westmoreland ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his third loss of the year. He lasted just three innings, walked four, struck out three, and allowed five runs.
