The Medicine Hat Mavericks take out the Regina Red Sox with help from Helgren, 6-3

Ryan Helgren collected three hits, sparking the Medicine Hat Mavericks (13-11) to a 6-3 victory over the Regina Red Sox (12-11) on Tuesday at Athletic Park.

He singled in the second and seventh innings and doubled in the eighth innings.

The Regina Red Sox's lineup had no answer for Michael Bucci. Bucci gave up just three hits, allowed one earned run, walked none and struck out three during his six innings of work.

Zach Weatherford racked up two RBIs on three hits for the Regina Red Sox. He singled in the second, seventh, and ninth innings.

Bryce Feia improved to 3-0 on the year by picking up the win for the Medicine Hat Mavericks. Feia struck out two, walked none and gave up one hit.

Tommy Lay (1-3) took the loss for the Regina Red Sox. He lasted just zero innings, walked none, struck out none, and allowed four runs.
