Ryan Thrasher went 1-4, helping the Moose Jaw Miller Express (1-1) to a 5-2 victory over the Swift Current Indians (1-1) on Saturday at Mitchell Field.

Kyle Sonntag picked up the win for the Moose Jaw Miller Express. Sonntag pitched seven innings and allowed two earned runs, eight hits and no walks while striking out four.

The Swift Current Indians' Reid Fritzke was perfect at the dish, going 3-3. He doubled in the second inning and singled in the fourth and seventh innings.

The Moose Jaw Miller Express' lineup had no answer for Austin Ell. Ell gave up just four hits, allowed no earned runs, walked three and struck out none during his five innings of work.

Robbie DeVries (0-1) took the loss for the Swift Current Indians. He lasted just one inning, walked none, struck out none, and allowed three runs.
