The bats were busy at Griggs Park on Friday, and when the dust cleared the Las Cruces Vaqueros (18-49) had an 11-10 win over the White Sands Pupfish (37-28) in 15 innings.
The teams totaled 39 hits in the game.
Elijah Briseno had three extra-base hits for the Las Cruces Vaqueros. He tripled in the first innings, doubled in the third inning, singled in the seventh and thirteenth innings, and homered in the fifteenth inning.
The White Sands Pupfish had no answer for Kyle Cross, who kept runners off the basepaths in his appearance. The White Sands Pupfish managed just two hits off of the the Las Cruces Vaqueros' pitcher, who allowed no earned runs, walked one and struck out four during his four innings of work.
Ritchie Sunija couldn't get it done on the hill for the White Sands Pupfish, taking a loss. He lasted just one inning, walked none, struck out three, and allowed one run.
