Aldrich leads the Alpine Cowboys to 23-5 win over the Las Cruces Vaqueros

A magnificent effort by Daniel Aldrich spurred the Alpine Cowboys (34-21) to a 23-5 win in seven innings over the Las Cruces Vaqueros (15-40) on Monday at Apodoca Park.

Aldrich racked up six RBIs on four hits for the Alpine Cowboys. He doubled in the first inning, tripled in the third inning, singled in the sixth inning, and homered in the seventh inning.

The Alpine Cowboys ran up the score, scoring runs at will until the final out. The Alpine Cowboys scored three runs in the final one innings to cap the blowout win. Kellen Quintana (0-5) was the game's losing pitcher. He allowed six runs in 1 1/3 innings, walked one and struck out none.

The Alpine Cowboys pounded the Las Cruces Vaqueros pitching, as eight hitters combined for 25 hits, 21 RBIs and 21 runs scored.
