The White Sands Pupfish (25-16) beat the Roswell Invaders (24-18) 9-5 on Wednesday at Griggs Park behind Wesley Wallace, who had two extra base hits.
He homered in the fourth inning and doubled in the eighth inning.Michael Morris went a perfect 3-3 at the dish for the Roswell Invaders. He singled in the first and seventh innings and tripled in the ninth inning.
Cameron Powers improved to 6-2 on the year by picking up the win for the White Sands Pupfish. He allowed four runs over seven innings. Powers struck out three, walked one and gave up 10 hits.
Alex Pagano couldn't get it done on the mound for the Roswell Invaders, taking a loss. He allowed seven runs in six innings, walked one and struck out nine.
Michael Brandi, Wallace and Shamil Ubiera helped lead the White Sands Pupfish. They combined for six hits and seven RBIs.
