Fans were treated to a high-scoring affair Wednesday as the Las Vegas Train Robbers (10-18) outscored the White Sands Pupfish (17-12) 13-9.
The two teams combined for 36 hits in the game.
Steven Taft racked up three RBIs on four hits for the Las Vegas Train Robbers. He singled in the first and eighth innings and doubled in the fifth and ninth innings.
Brandon Burkes had three extra-base hits for the White Sands Pupfish. He doubled in the second inning, singled in the seventh inning, and tripled in the fourth and ninth innings.
Kyer Vega improved to 1-1 on the year by picking up the win for the Las Vegas Train Robbers. He allowed four runs over five innings. Vega struck out two, walked none and gave up nine hits.
Derek Meyer was charged with his third loss of the year. He allowed seven runs in five innings, walked one and struck out one.
