The White Sands Pupfish (26-16) beat the Las Cruces Vaqueros (11-31) 8-6 on Saturday at Joe Bauman Park behind Joe Borowski, who went 2-3 and hit a home run.
He homered in the second inning and singled in the sixth inning.A bright spot for the Las Cruces Vaqueros in the defeat was Guadalupe Barrera, who allowed only one run while striking out five.
