The White Sands Pupfish (26-16) and the Las Cruces Vaqueros (11-31) both threatened with rallies, but it was the White Sands Pupfish that eventually took advantage of them in a 9-6 win at Griggs Park.

Will Charkowsky racked up three RBIs on three hits for the White Sands Pupfish. He singled in the second and fourth innings and tripled in the seventh inning.

Alex Embler had an impressive outing against the Las Cruces Vaqueros' lineup. The Las Cruces Vaqueros managed just two hits off of Embler, who allowed no earned runs, walked two and struck out four during his four innings of work.

The Las Cruces Vaqueros were led by a flawless day at the dish by Rigoberto Michael, who went 4-4 against the White Sands Pupfish's pitching. He singled in the first, second, sixth, and eighth innings.

Guadalupe Barrera (0-2) took the loss for the Las Cruces Vaqueros. He lasted just 1 1/3 innings, walked one, struck out two, and allowed two runs.
