The Pompano Beach Clippers (28-4) rolled over the West Palm Beach Eagles 9-2 on Tuesday at Santaluces after a five-run rally in the first inning.

The Pompano Beach Clippers scored in the first on a groundout by Mason Paxton, an RBI single by Carlos Pena, an RBI single by Jakeel Daniels, an RBI single by Daniels, and a two-run error.

Tay Jerger did his best to jumpstart the offense for the Pompano Beach Clippers, reaching base three times. He scored three runs and had one RBI. He singled in the first inning and homered in the fifth inning.

The West Palm Beach Eagles (11-21) had no answer for Nate Mcmaster, who kept runners off the basepaths in his appearance. Mcmaster held the West Palm Beach Eagles hitless over two innings, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out four.

Alex Detweiler improved to 2-0 on the year by picking up the win for the Pompano Beach Clippers. He struck out three, walked none and surrendered one hit.

Dominic Teresi (0-4) took the loss for the West Palm Beach Eagles. He lasted just three innings, walked three, struck out one, and allowed five runs.
