The West Palm Beach Eagles (4-5) beat the Palm Beach Xtreme (6-4) 2-0 on Friday at Santaluces behind Timothy Smith JR, who went 3-3 at the plate.

He singled in the third, sixth, and eighth innings.

Justin Tworek put together a nice outing. Tworek held the Palm Beach Xtreme hitless over three innings, allowed no earned runs, walked one and struck out five.

Michael Hanke was effective even in defeat, mowing down five the West Palm Beach Eagles batters and allowing zero runs.

Doug Wright improved to 2-0 on the year by picking up the win for the West Palm Beach Eagles. Wright struck out four, walked one and gave up five hits.

Chaz Kaps (0-1) was the game's losing pitcher. He lasted just three innings, walked none, struck out two, and allowed two runs.
