An outstanding effort by James Touhey carried the West Palm Beach Sharks (3-9) to a 2-1 win in 13 innings over the Palm Beach Xtreme (11-6) on Wednesday at Spanish River High School.
Touhey allowed no earned runs, six hits and four walks while striking out five over 10 innings of work.
The Palm Beach Xtreme had the lead early, but couldn't hold off the West Palm Beach Sharks. The Palm Beach Xtreme led until the thirteenth inning, but the West Palm Beach Sharks took the lead back on a sacrifice fly by Alex Sedillo.
Austin Minton recorded his first win of the year for the West Palm Beach Sharks. He struck out two, walked none and surrendered one hit.
Max Tannenbaum (0-1) was the game's losing pitcher. He lasted just one inning, walked one, struck out one, and allowed one run.
