The South Florida Huskies (1-0) pounded the Coral Springs Royals (0-1) on Wednesday 10-1 at Coral Springs High School.

A two-run single by Danny Arroyo and a two-run double by Dillon Popovich helped the South Florida Huskies score four runs in the third. The South Florida Huskies had four hits in the inning.

Brian Casiano reached base three times in the game for the South Florida Huskies. He singled in the third and fourth innings.

Jack Kelly had an impressive outing against the South Florida Huskies' lineup. Kelly held the South Florida Huskies hitless over one inning, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out three.

Andrew Pierson got the win, running his season record to 1-0. He allowed one run over five innings. He struck out four, walked none and surrendered six hits.

Colin Taylor (0-1) took the loss for the Coral Springs Royals. He allowed seven runs in four innings, walked two and struck out five.
