Danny Tufariello was cold coming off the bench, but Tufariello warmed up quickly as Tufariello stroked a key pinch-hit single in the 10 to lead the Palm Beach Blazers (8-14) to a 10-8 win over the South Florida Huskies (10-8) on Wednesday at Coral Springs High School.

With the score tied at eight in the tenth inning, Tufariello came to the plate and singled.

Both squads had things going at the plate, tallying 18 runs and 24 hits, including zero extra base hits. There were 10 pitchers used in the game as the two managers searched for any way to finish it off.

Mike Abate went a perfect 2-2 at the plate for the Palm Beach Blazers. He singled in the third inning and tripled in the seventh inning.

Dalton Thompson got the win, running his season record to 1-1. He allowed one run over two innings. Thompson struck out one, walked none and gave up no hits.

Raygelo Melfor couldn't get it done on the mound for the South Florida Huskies, taking a loss. He lasted just two innings, walked one, struck out two, and allowed four runs.

The Palm Beach Blazers pounded the South Florida Huskies pitching, as six hitters combined for 13 hits, nine RBIs and eight runs scored.
