The South Florida Huskies get on top of the Palm Beach Blazers early but can't hang on in 3-1 loss

The South Florida Huskies (2-3) jumped out to an early lead, but were unable to hold on and lost 3-1 to the Palm Beach Blazers (2-2) on Thursday.

While the South Florida Huskies led until the sixth inning, the Palm Beach Blazers worked their way back and took the lead on an error.

Kyle Keck was solid at the plate for the Palm Beach Blazers. Keck went 3-4 and scored two runs. He singled in the first, fourth, and sixth innings.

Zach Lawrence handled the South Florida Huskies' lineup with ease, racking up five strikeouts. Lawrence allowed one earned run on four hits and one walk over five innings.

Nicholas DiLeo recorded his first win of the year for the Palm Beach Blazers. DiLeo struck out three, walked none and gave up three hits.

Steve Sessa (0-1) took the loss for the South Florida Huskies. He lasted just two innings, walked none, struck out three, and allowed two runs.
