A great day by Schroeder wasn't enough to carry the Vancouver Island to a win on Sunday, as the Vancouver Island fell to the Shoreline (8-4) 2-1 at TBD.

Schroeder handled the Shoreline's lineup with ease, racking up nine strikeouts. Schroeder allowed two earned runs on five hits and two walks over nine innings.

Myles Gouviea brought the heat against the Vancouver Island during his outing. The Vancouver Island managed just one hit off of Gouviea, who allowed no earned runs, walked four and struck out six during his 6 2/3 innings of work.
