Seventh-inning rally sparks blowout win for the Newark Pilots, 9-1

The Newark Pilots (20-28) beat the Elmira Pioneers 9-1 on Tuesday at Colburn Park after a five-run explosion in the seventh inning.

The Newark Pilots scored in the seventh on a two-run double by Cody Wiktorski, a double by Mark Martin, , a single by William Gorman, a wild pitch, and a single by Kyle Bartelman.

Martin racked up five RBIs on four hits for the Newark Pilots.

Jacob Wloczewski picked up the win for the Newark Pilots. Wloczewski pitched six innings and allowed one earned run, five hits and three walks while striking out four.

Tristian Widra couldn't get it done on the hill for the Elmira Pioneers (32-16), taking a loss. He lasted just one inning, walked one, struck out none, and allowed one run.
