The Albany Dutchmen (20-24) and the Mohawk Valley DiamondDawgs (25-18) both had scoring chances on Friday, but it was the Albany Dutchmen that were able to capitalize on them as they pulled out a 9-5 win at Veterans Memorial Park.
Tom Moore racked up two RBIs on two hits for the Albany Dutchmen. He singled in the fifth and eighth innings.
The Mohawk Valley DiamondDawgs were led by Ryan Stekl's hitting. Stekl went 4-5, drove in one and scored one run. He homered in the second inning and singled in the third, sixth, and ninth innings.
Gavin Wallace improved to 2-4 on the year by picking up the win for the Albany Dutchmen. He allowed three runs over seven innings. Wallace struck out two, walked two and gave up nine hits.
Marc Iseneker (1-4) took the loss for the Mohawk Valley DiamondDawgs. He lasted just six innings, walked four, struck out nine, and allowed four runs.
