Justin Yurchak went 2-3, sparking the Amsterdam Mohawks (33-8) to a 2-0 victory over the Utica Brewers (17-23) on Sunday at Murnane Field at Donovan Stadiu.
He singled in the first inning and doubled in the fourth inning.Jake Mielock pitched lights out for the Amsterdam Mohawks. The Utica Brewers managed just two hits off of Mielock, who allowed no earned runs, walked three and struck out seven during his five innings of work.
Patrick Bellinger allowed one earned run, three hits and two walks while striking out four over seven innings of work.
Bellinger was charged with his third loss of the year.
