A walk-off single from Tommy Mirabelli brought home the winning run for the Elmira Pioneers (26-14) in an 8-7 victory over the Newark Pilots (15-22) at Dunn Field on Saturday.

Mirabelli racked up three RBIs on two hits for the Elmira Pioneers. He singled in the first and ninth innings.

It was a good day at the plate for the Elmira Pioneers' Rob Perteet. Perteet went 2-5, drove in one and scored two runs. He singled in the seventh inning and doubled in the ninth inning.

Cody Wiktorski had three extra-base hits for the Newark Pilots. He homered in the third inning, singled in the fifth inning, and doubled in the first and ninth innings.

Garrett Schilling recorded his third win of the year for the Elmira Pioneers. He struck out none, walked none and surrendered one hit.

Vinny Martin couldn't get it done on the bump for the Newark Pilots, taking a loss. He lasted just one-third of an inning, walked none, struck out none, and allowed three runs.
