A walk-off single from Mark Powell brought home the winning run for the Glens Falls Dragons (20-20) in a 2-1 victory over the Saugerties Stallions at East Field on Saturday.
The Glens Falls Dragons were led by Powell's hitting. Powell went 2-5 and drove in one. He singled in the first and ninth innings.
Alex Yarem allowed no earned runs, six hits and three walks while striking out three over eight innings of work.
Despite the loss, the Saugerties Stallions (11-29)'s Andrew Bruss dominated the Glens Falls Dragons' batters, giving up two runs and striking out five.
Michael Sinnott got the win, running his season record to 1-0. Sinnott struck out none, walked none and gave up no hits.
Bruss (0-3) took the loss for the Saugerties Stallions.
